RANDY & GENEVIEVE’s BLUES CLASSES

Workshops & Group Classes

We teach blues group classes and workshops primarily in Quebec and Ontario. We usually teach regular 6 week series and monthly specialized workshops at Cats Corner in Montreal. Check out catscorner.ca/blues for more information about scheduling.

In 2012, we taught workshops in the topics of ballroomin’ blues, faster blues dancing, solo dancing, intermediate blues, and beginner crash courses.

Blues Troupe – Summer 2013

We are currently wrapping up our blues troupe for Winter 2013 however if you would like to be involved for the Summer 2013 blues troupe (May to August 2013), send an email to genevievemarmen@gmail.com for more information. We are currently looking for new members and would love to have you join us!

Requirements: (1) Experienced dancer (2) Social blues dancer and (3) Must be willing to work hard during practices as well as commit some time on your own. The minimum expectation is that you have at least three to four hours a week to dedicate to the troupe for practices, class, and rehearsals. Questions? Email us.

Auditions will be sometime in the start of May.

Private Lessons

Blues is a dance that is easy to start but very hard to master. Pretty much all blues dance teachers have taken extensive blues private lessons to work on their art and as such we have started giving lessons on blues techniques and concepts to individuals! For general inquiries about private lessons, email genevievemarmen@gmail.com. Our fees are $85 per session and it includes studio fees. Please allow a lead-in time of at least two weeks to schedule a private as we both fly around the world a lot for work ;-)
